Downtown Georgetown Traffic Calming

The Town of Halton Hills has released a proposed traffic calming plan for the Downtown Georgetown neighbourhood. This work follows an operational safety review in response to ongoing concerns about speeding, aggressive driving, and road safety on our residential streets.

What’s Being Proposed

The draft plan includes a mix of measures designed to slow vehicles and improve safety for all road users, such as:

  • All-way stop controls

  • Speed cushions

  • Expansion of the 40 km/h speed limit area

  • “Traffic Calmed Neighbourhood” signage

These measures are shown in the map below, along with the study area.
